Lawrence "Larry" Von Barann, age 90, of Oberlin-Steelton, PA, passed away , Tuesday, January 9, 2019 at Carolyn Croxton's Hospice House.
Born June 26, 1928 in New York City, NY. He was the son of the late Hermann Barann and Bertha (Roessler) Barann.
Larry was a graduate of Queens High School and attended 3 years at the Student Arts League in Manhattan-New York City. Larry came to Harrisburg in 1972 and wanted to live in an interesting home to live in. He found a 1904 Firehouse in Oberlin. He restored it with Artwork and Possessions that he enjoyed. His Passion/Career was truly Art in collections throughout the World and in our Area. He became an Art Professor at Harrisburg Area Community College. Many admired his Art knowledge and helping make a Success for them in the Art World. The Public also enjoyed his stories and adventure in New York City - Famous People, Museums, Antiques Shops, Etc. He will Be Greatly Missed.
Surviving is His Life Partner - Husband for 42 years - William B. Heffner, III.
There will be a "Celebration Of Life Service," the Spring of this year. To be announce at a later date.
