Felicia Louise Gaines, 50, of Harrisburg, passed away Monday evening.
A daughter of the late Jack Bernard and Ellen Jane (Dixon) Gaines, Jr., she is survived by brothers, Jack Bernard Gaines III and Jeff Gaines; a niece, Kituria Gaines and partner, Miss Patty.
Felicia was a graduate of Central Dauphin East High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management from Eastern College in 2003 and a Masters Degree in Training and Development in Adult Education from Penn State University in 2008.
She was employed by Hershey Foods, Planned Parenthood, the office of former Governor Leader and the Department of Public Welfare. Most recently, Felicia applied her wisdom, skills and education as an Independent Lead Consultant for Training and Development Solutions and sub-contracted to provide Organizational Management Support Services for a specialty East Coast beverage manufacturer and conducted Public Seminars for Adult Professionals.
Felicia was a firm believer in Christian principles and was a former member of the Harris Street United Methodist Church, Harrisburg.
Being a strong advocate for Music, Arts and Education, she founded the Jeffrey Gaines Scholarship for the Performing Arts at Harrisburg Area Community College and presented this award to its recipient annually.
Friends may call at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011, for a memorial service at Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Rd., Harrisburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jeffrey Gaines Scholarship for the Performing Arts at HACC, 717-780-2330.
