JOYLEAN F. JOYCE
Joylean Faith (Angeli) Joyce, 72, of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 at home surrounded by her family.
Born October 25, 1938 in Mt. Carmel, she was a daughter of Joseph and Mabel (Mathews) Angeli.
She was a 1957 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School. She retired from Navy SPCC and was previously employed by the Easter Seal Society.
Joylean will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother as well as for her devotion to the ministries at CrossPoint United Methodist Church, Harrisburg.
On January 30, 1960 at Locust Gap, she wed John "Jack" Joyce, and the couple celebrated fifty years of marriage in 2010. He survives along with a son, John Joyce (Shelby) of Harrisburg; two daughters, Eileen Vizthum (Bob) of Red Lion and Mary McGinnis (Gary) of Harrisburg; six grandchildren, Kate and Hannah Joyce, Amanda and Eric McGinnis, Jim Vizthum, and Jen Medwid (Matt); two great grandchildren, Avery and Trey Medwid; three brothers, Frank and Lowell Angeli, both of Middletown and Ken Angeli of Mt. Carmel; and a sister, Dorothy Leonardi of Mt. Carmel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Angeli, who was killed in the Korean War.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at CrossPoint United Methodist Church, 430 Colonial Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109, with The Reverend David D. Biser officiating.
Friends will be received Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of services.
Interment at Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury, will be at the convenience of the family.
