Ludmila Douk, 66, of Lewisberry, died Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Harrisburg Hospital. .
Born February 5, 1944 in Czech Republic, she was a daughter of Boris and Anna Fylonowycz.
Mrs. Douk was the founder of MD Billing Service, Lewisberry.
She was a member of St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Church in Paterson, New Jersey and was active with its Sisterhood for 30 years as well as a former kindergarten teacher with its school.
An avid gardener, she was very proud of her flower and vegetable gardens and enjoyed canning items from the garden.
Her husband, children and grandchildren were her life.
On April 23, 1966 in Garfield, New Jersey, she wed Albert Douk, who survives along with a son, Lenny Douk of Middletown; a daughter, Vicki Douk of Lewisberry; three grandchildren, Cole, Alexandra and Amanda Hess, all of Harrisburg; and a brother, Vladimir Filonovich of Webster, New York.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Constantine Filonovich.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church at St. Vladimir's Cemetery, 316 Cassville Road, Jackson, New Jersey with The Very Reverend Archpriest John Prokopiuk officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg.
