MARY L. DIEHL
Mary Louise Diehl, 71, of Harrisburg, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at her residence.
Born June 5, 1939 in Greensburg, she was a daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Ludwig) Kuhns.
Mrs. Diehl taught home economics at Susquehanna Township Middle School, having retired in 1996 after thirty-five years of service. She was a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in home economics.
She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed reading. She and her late husband enjoyed building and decorating dollhouses.
She was a member of Tree of Life Lutheran Church, Harrisburg.
Surviving is a sister, Dr. Karen Kuhns of Delray Beach, Florida, formerly of Pittsburgh; two nieces and a faithful caregiver, Lisa Harclerode of Harrisburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Diehl, in 1986.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Tree of Life Lutheran Church, 1492 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110, with her pastors, The Reverends Richard B. Geib and Catharine Senft Geib officiating.
Friends are invited to attend committal services at 9 a.m. Monday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. The procession will form at the Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, and will depart promptly at 8:30 a.m.
