John E. Curran, 85, of Lower Paxton Twp., died Sunday, June 27, 2010 at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
He was born November 23, 1924, the son of the late Jeremiah and Frieda (Bechtel) Curran.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
John was retired from the Patriot News and was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church; the CRS Society; the 8th Airforce 389th Bomb Group; Robert B. Woodbury American Legion Post #67 in Pottsville; and the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret (Metrovka) Curran, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM, Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg, PA.
There will be a viewing from 10 AM to 11 AM, Thursday at the church.
Burial will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Name of Jesus, Building Fund, 6150 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg, PA 17112.
