Ceylon A. "Dick" Dressler, 89, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at Spring Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Born January 10, 1925, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late John and Viola (Davis) Dressler.
Mr. Dressler was a WWII Veteran having served with the U.S. Army.
He was retired from Capital Products where he worked as a forklift operator.
Surviving are his loving wife, Betty J. Dressler; a son, Dallas R. Dressler and wife, Brenda; a daughter, Darlene J. McCurdy and husband, Tom; 2 brothers, Sam and Paul Dressler; 3 sisters, Helen McNamara, Esther Henry, Annie Gordon; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry C. Dressler; 3 brothers, Simon, Kenny, and Lawrence Dressler; and a sister, Ruth Goodling.
A funeral service will be held Monday, December 22, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109 with the Rev. Ronald Dressler officiating. Viewing will be from 10-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors at St. John's Cemetery, Shiremanstown, will follow the service.
