Joyce Ann Greene, daughter of the late Lester and Annie Cobb, was born on December 6, 1940, in Harrisburg, PA.
Joyce Ann was educated in the Harrisburg City School District, attended John Harris high school but received her diploma from Cumberland Valley High School. She worked as a lab technician at the Polyclinic and Pinnacle Health Hospitals and served as a personal care aide at the Goodwill.
As evidence of her acceptance of Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, Joyce Ann was united in Christian fellowship with Wesley Union A.M.E. Zion Church in Harrisburg, PA. Her favorite hobbies included talking on the phone, bingo, playing bid whist and pinochle. She also enjoyed watching Let’s Make a Deal, The Price is Right, the Game Show Network, and the Encore Westerns Network.
She was proud member of the I.B.P.O. Elks of the World, Inc. Unity Temple #61. Joyce Ann served as the Daughter Ruler of Unity Temple #61 three times, 1993-1996, 2005-2007 and 2013 until her death. She also belong to Post 733 American Legion Auxiliary.
In the peace and love of her home on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, God, in His infinite wisdom and divine love, called Joyce Ann into eternal life; no more pain, heartache, strife or discontent.
In addition to her parents, Joyce Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Harold (Hank) E. Greene and her brother Cedric Cobb Sr. She leaves to celebrate her life and share many special memories: her daughter, Stephanie J. Cobb-Patterson of Harrisburg, PA; a son, Lorene (Alicia) Cobb of Fort Wayne, IN; a step-daughter, Gail Greene of Harrisburg, PA; her brothers Melvin (Dorothy) Cobb of Harrisburg, PA, and Joe Lester of Philadelphia, PA; her sisters India Bracey and Doretta Williams of Philadelphia, PA; sisters-in-law Henrietta (Horace) Battle and Janet Arrington; brother-in-law Gaylor (Norma) Greene all of Steelton, PA;  6 grandchildren, Tony Gilliam, Ryan (Demone) and Randi Patterson all of Harrisburg, PA, Denzel, Tyj and Lauryn Cobb all of Fort Wayne, IN; two deeply devoted friends Beulah Bass of Harrisburg, PA, and Betty Dunbar of Pittsburgh, PA; and a host of relatives and friends.
