Music by The Piano Brothers

Kathleen Lee Herbstritt Hall, passed away on Thursday, August 1st, 2019, at the age of 63 years old, in Montgomery County, PA.

Kathleen was the daughter of Lawrence Martin, and Bernice Gray Herbstritt, (Bernice deceased, December 22nd 2004). Kathy was born July 16th 1956 at Chestnut Hill Hospital, in Philadelphia, PA.  She was raised in Norristown, Pennsylvania and was a graduate of Norristown Area High School.  After graduation she studied computer science and worked in various office settings.

Kathleen had a heart of gold.  She was known for her sense of humor and not taking herself too seriously.  She loved a good car ride, long chats on the telephone, swimming, nature, reading, creative writing, and the arts.  She also loved listening to the radio, a good meal and taking trips when she could to the shore.  Most of all she loved being around her loved ones, especially her daughter.  She lived in Philadelphia for many years, and retired to the suburbs of Montgomery County, PA.  She often enjoyed hearing performances at the Curtis Institute of Music during her time in Philadelphia.  She was proud of the work she did with ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) where she assisted them with their grassroots efforts.  Kathleen will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved and only daughter, Jennifer Ann Hall, her father, Lawrence Martin Herbstritt, brother, Robert Herbstritt, sister, Janet Gring, niece and nephews, and many loving friends.

Funeral Mass: St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1260 South Trooper Rd. Norristown, PA 19403. Visitation at 8:45 AM on Wednesday, August 7, followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM.  Interment will be private to the family.

At the request of her daughter, Jennifer, contributions are requested to the National Alliance for Mental Illness, NAMI on Kathleen’s memorial page https://donate.nami.org/fundraiser/2214843.

My only sister gone so suddenly.
You had a hard life . I wish life had been kinder to,you.
In recent years I'll cherish the memories of times shared by the seaside, laughs about the stupidity of this world we live in and the love shared for our children.
You are at peace now, no more worries.

Love,
Your sister Janet

I remember my cousin Kathy as though she were sitting here next to me, always with a great smile and wonderful sense of humor. We will miss her and remember her always.

Mom, I will miss you so much. My heart is broken. Nothing will ever replace you. Mom you are the flowers, the sunlight, the butterflies, the lush green summer, the cicadas, the blue sky, the clouds. Please be with me always.
